You remember my £275 E36 325i that I !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ages ago (proper 'hey guys, watch this!' thing)? Updates on that!

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

One of my mates is in the market for a first car with a typically minimal budget. So, I asked whether he wanted the BMW after I'd fixed it up. The idea might be going ahead, so it's given me a bit of motivation to get things done on it :) if he doesn't want it, I can drive it for a bit again and then sell it.

So, I trooped down to the scrapyard to get 3 new part-worns to replace the deflated and flat-spotted ones on the car. Had a quick look around the cars there, and lo and behold there was an Arctissilber 316i estate there so I could finally get a new wing! Last piece I needed to fix it :)

Nicely done. German iron's typically pretty good about being fixable, that way (he says as he recollects pranging a W123 diesel - twice!).

The blue thing in the back ground... Kit car?

Yeah, it's a Ferrari 308 fibreglass bodyshell that my dad was planning to build a kit-car with.

There hasn't been movement on it in years. If someone wanted to buy it we'd gladly let it go, but if not it can site there until I fancy making a tube-framed Ferrari-engined silhouette car :)

No idea on how much it's worth to be honest. Open to offers :)

We're in the UK if that makes a difference.

Nice! You have a spare blue jaaaag lying around that could donate an engine and lots of leather... Get to it!

Crap in you were in America I would think about buying it.

Is it a real Ferrari body?

Ooh dear, nothing too bad I hope. Not that I imagine a W123 diesel would be capable of high enough speeds to make a prang bad...

Bummer :(

It's not a real Fezza body unfortunately, but it is complete with doors, bonnet, boot and little pop-up headlight tops :)

Hah :) I'd love the idea of a Jaguar I6-engined Ferrari 308

Crap. I would love to weld a chassis and build a motor for a track day car.

Sucks you crashed it! Luckily nothing was hurt besides the car. It does look pretty good after the repair though.

Both at low differential speed in the rain - more an indictment of the tires used, nose weight, grabby brakes, and such than the presence of a turbo (300D).
